On Wednesday and Thursday, our school counselors teamed up with our sixth-grade teachers to take our sixth graders to Camp Don Lee for an exciting outdoor learning experience! Students participated in challenge courses and archery while building essential skills in communication, teamwork, and collaboration. It was a great opportunity for students to learn, grow, and strengthen connections with their classmates!

We also want shout out our wonderful chaperones for helping out!!!

WCMS students will take the District-Wide Mastery Connect Benchmark Assessment next week, on Tuesday, October 13th; Wednesday, October 14th; and Thursday, October 15th. The assessment results will help identify student strengths and areas for growth in Reading, Math, and 8th-grade Science. We need all students to be here each day and ready to show what they know. Teachers will use the results to guide instruction in Quarter 2 and throughout the rest of the year. As always, please feel free to reach out to us at school with any questions.

Some of our WCMS FFA members went to the Regional Rally at Richlands High School yesterday. Over 500 middle and high school FFA students showed up. Our crew hit two leadership workshops about teamwork, stepping out of our comfort zones, and the traits we need to be effective leaders. We are very proud of all these kiddos.
