🚒 Community Safety Starts at Home! 🚒

The New Brighton Fire Department would like to extend our sincere thanks to Brighton UP for their generous donation of smoke detectors to our department!

As part of our ongoing commitment to community safety, the New Brighton Fire Department helps provide smoke detectors to residents who may be in need.

🔥 Smoke detectors save lives! 🔥

To help ensure early detection of a fire and provide occupants with valuable time to escape safely, smoke detectors should be installed:

✅ On every level of your home, including the basement.

✅ Inside every bedroom and sleeping area.

✅ Outside each separate sleeping area, such as in a hallway near bedrooms.

Having properly installed and functioning smoke detectors is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect yourself and your loved ones in the event of a fire.

If you or someone you know is in need of smoke detectors, please don’t hesitate to contact the New Brighton Fire Department. We are happy to help keep our community safe!

Once again, thank you to Brighton UP for your generosity and continued support of our community!

🎉 Community Update & Announcement! 🎉
We are excited to share some great news with all of you! A big thank you to our elected officials and our incredible community for your continued support and dedication. We couldn't do it without you!

The New Brighton Volunteer Fire Dept. has secured $869,416.95 in federal funding through the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Fiscal Year 2025 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program. Combined with a local cost-share contribution of $43,470.85, the total approved project budget reaches $912,887.80.

The grant award enables the purchase of a new fire engine to replace an aging apparatus currently in service. This federal investment directly supports local emergency personnel by upgrading essential equipment and enhancing overall public safety and fire response capabilities throughout the New Brighton area and surrounding municipalities.

New Brighton Borough and Fire Department officials extend their sincere appreciation to Congressman Chris Deluzio and his staff for their ongoing support and advocacy in securing federal funding for Western Pennsylvania’s first responders.
