As Veterans Day approaches, we are honored to recognize Dominick Critelli, a remarkable 105-year-old Italian American World War II veteran whose story will be featured in the HISTORY Channelโ€™s upcoming Veterans Day documentary.

His experience connects us to a generation that answered the call during one of the most consequential moments in history For the New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission, preserving stories like his is an essential part of sharing the Italian American experience and its place in our nationโ€™s history. Bringing veteransโ€™ voices into our classrooms and communities helps younger generations understand the human experience behind the history they study.

This November 11, we honor all who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Watch for the documentary featured on the accompanying poster, and join us in celebrating an extraordinary life of service. To our veterans and their families: thank you. Your service matters, and your stories belong in our nationโ€™s memory. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™
