Our Intro to iNaturalist & Guided Hike is happening tomorrow at 2:00 PM at Joe Turner Nature Center, Lake Houston Wilderness Park!

We’re excited to share that an iNaturalist Ambassador will be leading the introduction session, great for anyone wanting hands-on tips, guidance, and a friendly walkthrough of the app before heading out on the trail.

Looking for a secluded overnight stay at Lake Houston Wilderness Park without bringing a tent? Our screened shelters might be the perfect fit!

We have four cozy sites available for $25 per night plus tax. Each shelter includes an electrical outlet, a nearby water spigot, a picnic table, and an in‑ground fire ring with a grill, great for s’mores or any favorite campfire meal.

Here at the Nature Center, we love to pamper our animals, and in this heat, Mr. Red loves the poolside service. Come visit Mr. Red this weekend at the Lake Houston Wilderness Park Nature Center.

Looking for the simplicity of camping without giving up air conditioning and a bathroom with a hot shower? Our Rustic Cabin offers the best of both worlds, complete with a microwave, a mini refrigerator, an outdoor patio, a fire ring, and a BBQ grill.

If part of the family still wants the tent experience, you can easily pitch a tent right outside the cabin. It’s the perfect way to experience the outdoors together! Because of the cabin’s minimalist design, guests will need to bring their own sleeping arrangements, such as an air mattress or cot.

TPWD dropped 1,100 trout!!! You read that right.... ELEVEN HUNDRED! 🐟🐟🐟
We are so excited we put together this reel with zero media experience just to draw your attention! 😆😆😆
Everyone bring your gear and bait to our beautiful Lake Dabney to get your limit! Limit is 5 per person per day.
While we may have to wait until next year to host another big fishing event the lake is stocked and ready for you now!
**Remember, any other fish is catch and release only**
