Obituary for Tabathia A. Knost
Tabathia Ann Knost, 49, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
She was born to Duane & Pamela Knost in Muncie on May 20, 1977 and was a lifelong resident of New Castle and Muncie.
Tabathia was a 1995 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School where she was a part of the marching and concert bands and never missed a day of school in 12 years! She had been employed by Payless Super Markets in Muncie for the past several years, but she had also worked for Sally Mae, Navient, and a few other places prior to her time at the Fuel Center at Payless. Her favorite things to do included collecting items from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (especially her favorite one - D***y), reading good books, trying new restaurants, finding great bargains, playing games, and of course – spending time with friends and family and spoiling her two cats she lovingly called “The Boys.”
Left to cherish her memory are her children, William Feaster (Mekyala) and Ariah Feaster; mother Pamela (Litton) Knost; sister, Katrina Hanavan (James); nephews Noah Hanavan and Jonah Hanavan, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Duane Knost, grandparents Charles and Helen Litton, and aunt Ginger Litton.
Tabathia was a determined and independent woman who worked hard and had a warrior's heart. She endured much in life and wore her heart on her sleeve. She loved her children, parents, sister, family, and friends fiercely. She had a great laugh, and her smile wasn’t complete without her crinkled nose and that sparkle in her eyes!
A celebration of Tabathia’s life will be Saturday, November 14th at 1:00pm with visitation hours from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Westview Church of the Nazarene. The address is 12 S Homestead Dr, New Castle, IN 47362. The family asks of those who will attend to wear something yellow that day in honor of Tabathia - as it was her favorite color. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tabathia’s name could be directed to help the domestic violence victims at A Better Way Services, Inc, PO Box 734, Muncie, IN 47308 or the cats at Cats Haven Ltd, 2603 N College Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46205.
