🗳️ EARLY VOTING STARTS THIS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22! 🗳️

Delaware, the wait is over. Starting Thursday, October 22, you can head to an early voting site in your county and cast your ballot for the 2026 General Election.

Why wait? When you vote early, you skip the Election Day lines, avoid last-minute surprises like a sick kid, a flat tire, or a late meeting, and know your vote is locked in and ready to be counted. Every vote matters, and the surest way to make yours count is to cast it early.

And when you get to the ballot, vote BLUE from top to bottom. Our federal delegation, our statehouse, our county and local offices all shape the lives of Delaware families. Democrats are fighting for affordable health care, strong public schools, good-paying jobs, and a democracy that works for everyone. Let’s send them back to work with a full team.

📅 Early Voting Schedule:

🌈 and Delaware is one session away from writing that into our constitution. SB 100 protects the right to marry regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. It passed both the State House and State Senate last session, and it must pass again in the 2027 session to become part of the Delaware Constitution. While other states try to roll back hard-won freedoms, Delaware Democrats are working to make them permanent here in Delaware. Let’s finish the job.

No one should have to choose between getting care and keeping their finances afloat. SB 13, signed into law July 20, raises the bar for hospital charity care and expands financial help for Delawareans struggling with medical debt. Health care is a right, not a luxury, and Delaware Democrats are acting like it.

No Kings: Vote Early 🗳️

This Saturday, October 17, Delawareans join millions across the country for No Kings Day.

For more than a year, Americans have been sending the same message: in this country, we have no kings. Power doesn’t belong to billionaires, to strongmen, or to politicians who think they’re above accountability. It belongs to the people. And the most powerful way the people use that power is at the ballot box.

The Delaware Democratic Party stands with everyone gathering peacefully this weekend.

📍 Events across the First State: Wilmington, Newark, Dover, Milford, Millsboro, Rehoboth Beach, and Bethany Beach. Find times and locations and sign up at nokings.org/ .

🗳️ Then make your voice count. Early voting in Delaware runs October 22 through November 1, with no voting on Sunday, October 25. Find your early voting site at elections.delaware.gov.

No kings. Vote early.

Today, on Indigenous Peoples Day, the Delaware Democratic Party honors the Native nations whose history in this land long predates the state we call home.

When Dutch, Swedish, and English colonists arrived in the 1600s, the region that is now Delaware was the homeland of the Lenape and the Nanticoke. The Lenape lived along the river and bay that Europeans would later name for an English nobleman, and the colonists in turn called the Lenape “the Delaware.” The Nanticoke lived to the south, in the waterways and forests of what is now Sussex County and the Delmarva Peninsula. Both nations faced land loss, broken treaties, disease, and forced removal. Many were pushed west and north. Others stayed and endured.

Their descendants are still here. The Nanticoke Indian Tribe in Millsboro and the Lenape Indian Tribe of Delaware in Cheswold carry those traditions forward, and their communities remain part of the fabric of our state today.

Honoring Indigenous Peoples Day means more than remembering the past. It means telling the full story of how Delaware came to be, protecting tribal sovereignty and cultural heritage, and making sure Native Delawareans have a voice in the decisions that shape their future.

Delaware comes together to mourn the loss of former President Pro Tempore Patricia “Patti” Blevins.

Throughout her career, as a Town Councilwoman, Mayor, and State Senator, she served with the utmost compassion.

Her legacy of fighting for the safety of women and children, expanding access to economic opportunity, strengthening our infrastructure, and protecting our environment has made our state stronger.

She was a trailblazer in every sense, showing a generation of Delaware women what it means to serve and opening doors that many would walk through after her.

And in all that she did for the First State, what she will be remembered most for was her ability to lead with kindness. We can all aim to lead like Patti did.

She will be deeply missed and our hearts are with her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched.

Rest in peace, Patti.
