A message from the Chief to retired Sgt. Reynolds.

“Today, we say goodbye to a sergeant who has given 12 years of dedicated service to this department and to our community.

Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated what it means to put others first. His multiple life-saving awards are a testament to his courage, quick thinking, and willingness to act when others needed help. But his commitment to others goes far beyond those moments. He has been the person who was always willing to step up, cover a shift, or help a fellow officer when they needed it.

One of his greatest strengths has been his empathy. He has an ability to connect with people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. His crisis intervention skills, patience, and genuine concern for others have made a difference to countless people in our community.

His 12 years of service have left a lasting mark on this agency. We will miss his leadership, his willingness to help others, and the person he has been to both this department and our community.

On behalf of the entire department, thank you for your service, your dedication, and your selflessness. We wish you nothing but the best in the next chapter of your life. You will be missed, and you will always be a part of this department.”
