Earlier this week Tanner had the pleasure of joining the Cooperative Credit Union Association for U.S. Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester's press conference celebrating the ROAD to Housing Act including enactment of the Credit Union Board Modernization Act. CCUA worked with Senators Blunt Rochester and Warren to include the Credit Union Board Modernization Act in the ROAD to Housing Act. The legislation supports credit unions and expands affordable housing opportunities in Delaware and nationwide.

Check out the Morning Joe segment that aired earlier today on Meta's approach to data centers...

Given the conversations we’ve been having in Delaware around data centers, energy demand, utility costs, and community impact, this is especially timely. Delaware is certainly not alone in trying to figure out how to balance the economic opportunities associated with AI infrastructure with the very real concerns of residents and ratepayers.

It's clear how important early community engagement and transparency are. As Delaware continues to work through these issues, it’s interesting to see how companies like Meta are approaching them in other parts of the country.

This morning, Meta just announced it will invest $1 billion in U.S. cities where it operates AI data centers. This comes as some communities rally against the projects, citing concerns about electricity use and water consumption. But in one Utah town, a data center –operated by Meta– has already...
