Back-to-School Donation

The Green County Law Enforcement Administrators Association (GCLEAA) went back-to-school shopping! GCLEAA purchased and donated school supplies to each Green County School District to help local students and teachers prepare for the new school year.

Chief Jeff Sturdevant delivered the donated supplies to the New Glarus Elementary School.

We are proud to support our local schools and students as they begin another great school year!

The New Glarus Police Department will participate in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign, which began on August 14th and runs through September 7th.

Everyone should plan ahead for safe travel:

• If you plan to celebrate, identify a sober designated driver, or find a safe alternative way home. Never allow someone who is impaired to get behind the wheel.

• Protect yourself and your passengers every time you travel. Buckle up, phone down. Watch your speed and eliminate distractions.

• If you suspect a driver is impaired, call 911. Provide as much detail as possible on the driver, vehicle, and location.

Yesterday, the staff at Lake Ridge Bank stopped by the New Glarus Police Department with some delicious sweet corn for our officers and staff. They also invited us over to the bank to enjoy root b**r floats in celebration of National Root B**r Float Day. Thank you, Lake Ridge Bank!

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate Sugar River EMS yesterday with our emergency service personnel! Great food, fun, and company make for an excellent evening highlighting the important work that these folks do.

Thank you Belleville Area EMS, New Glarus Fire Department, and New Glarus Police Department - not just for hosting a great event, but for always answering the call for help! We appreciate you!
