We know it doesn't feel like it, but winter is right around the corner!

As the temperatures start to drop, the New Hope Police Department is collecting winter coats to help keep members of our community warm this season.

We’re accepting coat donations now through December 6. Donations can be dropped off in the New Hope Police Department lobby.

If you have a gently used coat your family has outgrown or are picking up a new one while shopping, consider donating it to someone who could use a little extra warmth this winter. Every donation makes a difference! ❤

Help us spread some warmth this winter!

🎁 It may only be October, but it’s never too early to start thinking about the holidays! 🎄

The New Hope Police Department is once again collecting toys for local children and families who could use a little extra help this holiday season.

We’re accepting new, unwrapped toys now through December 6. Donations can be dropped off in the New Hope Police Department lobby during regular business hours.

Every donation, big or small, can help make the holidays a little brighter for a child in our community. So, the next time you’re out shopping, consider picking up an extra toy and helping us spread a little holiday cheer!

Thank you for helping us make the season brighter for local families! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend for a wonderful morning of connection and conversation at Faith & Blue hosted by the New Hope Church.

Community members were invited to enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast prepared by members of the New Hope Police Department, New Hope's Joint Police Partnership liaison, and members of the church.

Chief Hoyt would like to thank Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna Witt, Police Chief Brian Hubbard (Crystal), Police Chief Patrick Foley (Robbinsdale) for serving on our panel and taking time to answer questions from the community.

Building strong relationships with the community we serve is important to us, and events like Faith & Blue give us the opportunity to listen, connect and build trust.

25 Years. We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.

On September 11, 2001, our nation witnessed unimaginable loss, and extraordinary courage.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless families and communities forever changed.

We honor their sacrifice, their courage, and their legacy.

Congratulations to Christian Kerr and Noah Mittendorf, our newest cadet graduates through the Growth Through Opportunity (GTO) Program. Christian and Noah spent the summer gaining hands-on experience across multiple City departments, building valuable career skills along the way.

The City of New Hope has partnered with Empower Inclusion for the past few years to offer the GTO summer internship program, which provides adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities the opportunity to explore City operations and build meaningful skills.

We are grateful for this program and incredibly proud of Christian and Noah for all their hard work!
