Metal Shark has been awarded a U.S. Government contract to build 13 Defiant-class patrol boats for Vietnam, with options for additional vessels.

The award builds on our successful delivery of 24 purpose-built 45 Defiant patrol boats to the Vietnam Coast Guard and marks another important step in Metal Shark’s continued growth across Asia.

Built at our Jeanerette, Louisiana, production facility, these proven, mission-ready vessels will support patrol, interdiction, search and rescue, and maritime law-enforcement operations. Their common platform will also strengthen interoperability, training, logistics, and operational readiness among U.S. and Vietnamese maritime forces.

We’re proud to continue supporting maritime security, regional stability, and the growing partnership between the United States and Vietnam.
