September is National Senior Center Month and we are doing a membership drive. Everyone who is 55 years of age and older is eligible for membership. There is no fee for membership. Become active at YOUR Senior Center. . We are planning a celebration every day in September and hope you will be able to attend and tell us what you would like to see in your future.
The New London Senior Center
The New London Senior Center is open daily from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Transportation services are We are located at the corner of Mercer and Brainard Streets.
We offer Exercise,
Yoga, Ceramics, Health and Wellness, Sewing Classes, and a variety of special
events and meal programs.
Come in and pick up your copy of the June newsletter if you'd like to see what other trips we have planned. Bingo is played Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings. Pickle ball is a Monday happening and there's always room for another participant. Join us!
Today the group will be travelling to Newport for dinner and a show. There are six seats remaining for those who are interested in travelling on this gorgeous day!
Celebrate Spring! Shortly, with all the trees and flowers in bloom and the milder temperatures, it will soon be a good day for a walk. Need a destination....come visit us at the New London Senior Center. We'd like to hear where you been and what you've been doing all winter. Join us!

On Thursdays, Sign ups begin at 11:30 a.m. Food distribution is at 12:15 a.m. TVCCA serves a meal daily, Monday through Friday for the suggested donation of $3.00. Please call in your reservation.

Coming Soon: "Life's Most Dangerous Game" featuring Dr. Bill Thomas, an authority on aging. You need to experience this as I did last year. We are providing transportation to this event. Older Americans Month 2015 Materials Now Available
ACL has published outreach materials to support communities celebrating Older Americans Month this May. The 2015 observance theme, “Get into the Act,” honors the 50th anniversary of the Older Americans Act and emphasizes older adults taking charge of their health and getting engaged in their communities. The available materials include a poster series (select one or use them all!), sample social media, event ideas, document templates, and more. To join ACL in recognizing older adults for their contributions to the nation, visit the Older Americans Month section of the ACL website.
Rental Rebate Season will open April 1. Call the senior center to make an appointment. In order to complete your application you will need your income statements, rent receipts for each month in the year 2014 and all your utility bills, gas, electric, etc.
Oh, almost forgot Jae has been working on the computer lab and he has just about all the computers tuned up and running. Do you like to surf the net or need to communicate with your family long distance and instantaneously? There is no charge. We are here to help. Computer lessons are scheduled on Thursday mornings 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. 3 lessons for $10.00. Come learn what you did not know you did not know!
