The crude and profane comments made by Mr. Shaun Porter at the recent Board of Education meeting on 23SEP26 do not reflect my campaign or the Common Sense Slate for FCPS BoE.
Though Mr. Porter calls out concerns we all share regarding the handling of the sexual assault case that took place last year at Oakdale by an aide on a non-verbal special needs student, it does not need to be presented in an inappropriate or unprofessional manner. Public comment should remain respectful, yet be allowed to be harsh in the criticisms where necessary. But we need to remember this is about our children, and they are listening.

Though we all have freedom of speech and have a right to petition the government for a redress of grievances, we can do so in a manner that sets a better example of decorum for our society.

Football Season is in full effect 🏈

Coaching has always been a passion of mine, and it brings me so much pride, joy, and fulfillment to be able to coach these young men alongside some great fathers.

I want to bring this same energy to the Board of Education. Sometimes all it takes is a leader with a steady tone and some strong mentorship to reach the desired end state.

Go Lancers!

There was a ton of interest, energy, and excitement at the Republican tent for a Monday night at the Great Frederick Fair!

And why shouldn’t there be? The hard-working residents of Frederick County support Common Sense!

This was a great evening of connecting with friends, former coworkers at Monocacy Middle School, neighbors, teachers, parents and voters. The best part was getting to hear from folks currently in the classroom about what we can do to support them! Parents and teachers are ready for change.

Also, it was a pleasure supporting Jeff Holtzinger for County Executive the other night with my boys!

Common Sense teachers and parents, you have a voice with the Orange Ballot.
