Welcome to the tiger crew, Mr. Beery! 🐯 ✨

We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Beery to our team for his very first year of teaching! A proud Rootstown High School alum, Mr. Beery recently graduated from Ohio University in May 2026. During his time at OU, he played college baseball, a career that took him to games across 14 different states!

When he isn't in the classroom, you can find him playing or watching sports, hanging out with family and friends, playing video games, or enjoying the great outdoors. For the past three summers, he has worked on the maintenance crew at The Links at Firestone Farms, which inspired his newest passion: golf! ⛳️

"I am eager to connect and collaborate with the community, families, students, and administration team. Additionally, I look forward to guiding my students as they grow into highly successful young adults." ~Mr. Beery

Please join us in giving Mr. Beery a warm welcome! We are so excited for a fantastic school year ahead.

✨ : Congratulations to Senior, Drake Benson! Drake placed first in the Construction Trades Expo Competition on September 23!

✨ The competition involved laying out wall studs, reading blueprints, measuring angles and driving nails. He received a DeWalt tool combo kit and gift card to Power Tool and Supply company.

WAY TO GO, Drake!

Mr. Antonucci’s Career Development students are diving into YouScience! 🧭

This career exploration tool helps high school students map out their futures based on their unique interests. Reminder: It’s not a test, nothing is graded, and there's no pressure—just data-driven guidance for a successful future! ✨

✨ Springfield Spoke. We listened. ✨

In April, our community joined us for a strategic planning forum to share goals and build a roadmap for our students. The Board of Education approved the official 2026–2031 Strategic Plan!

This week, see our plan for facility improvements. Tune in next week as we continue to highlight key pillars of this plan.
