As we near the close of September—National Senior Center Month—we want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful members and to the community at large for making our senior center the special place that it is.
A senior center is so much more than a building. It’s a place to connect, learn, stay active, make new friends, share experiences, find support, and simply enjoy time together. From programs and activities to educational opportunities, social gatherings, special events, and resources, we strive to provide something for everyone and help individuals aged 60 and older remain engaged and connected to their community.
Recently, we opened our doors for an open house, welcoming a wonderful variety of vendors and organizations that provide services, information, and resources for our demographic. It was a great opportunity to learn more about what’s available in our community—and to showcase the many ways our senior center works to support and enrich the lives of our members.
And, of course, no celebration would be complete without a little extra flair. A very special thank you to .baldwick for sharing her incredible talent in creating this colorful balloon arch for the event. Your creativity helped make the day even more festive.
To our members, volunteers, community partners, local organizations, and everyone who walks through our doors: thank you for being part of our senior center family. We are grateful for each and every one of you and look forward to all the memories yet to come.
Here’s to celebrating our seniors—not just in September, but all year long.
