Stronger communities start with working together!

Our officers enjoyed getting out into the community and connecting with neighbors at various Night Out Against Crime events across our region. Policing is a collaborative effort, and it works best when law enforcement and the communities we serve come together with a shared commitment to safety.

💗 Wearing Pink with Purpose 💗

At , our officers wear their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with pride. Our pink label pins serve as a reminder that behind every badge is a personal story, a loved one and a reason to stand together.

FTO Officer and Drone Operator Ashley Keeler proudly wears pink in honor of her aunt, showing that this cause is about more than awareness — it’s about the people we love and the fight so many families know personally.

This month, we stand together in support of those fighting breast cancer, survivors and the families who walk alongside them.

🚔 That’s a wrap on our third annual Night Out Against Crime! 🎉

Year three was another great reminder of what happens when a community comes together for a common cause. Each year, this event continues to grow, bringing together our neighbors, community partners, and law enforcement agencies to strengthen relationships and support a safer community for all.

A huge thank-you to all of our partners for their participation and continued support, and to our community for showing up and making this another successful year! Your commitment makes a difference, and we’re proud to be part of such a dedicated community.

Training is about getting better — together.

Members of recently completed Tactical Police Driving training led by Lt. Kindell and Sgt. Helire, focused on an essential skill both behind the wheel and on the street: thinking ahead and processing what’s next.

During the course, our team reinforced a mindset that extends far beyond driving: Identify. Analyze. Decide. Execute.

We’re proud of our officers for their commitment to continuous growth, accepting challenges, learning from one another and strengthening the skills that help them serve our community.

Congratulations to Sergeant Logan Tillery, Officer of the Quarter!

Chief Melanie Montroll joined FBI - New Orleans SAC Jonathan Tapp, U.S. Attorneys Kurt Wall and David Courcelle, and federal, state and local law enforcement partners to announce the results of Operation Summer Heat 2.0—a three-month coordinated effort focused on reducing violent crime and disrupting drug trafficking across the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas.

The operation demonstrates what is possible when agencies share intelligence, coordinate resources and work together to put enforcement where it matters most.
