Hey Mr. Beast and Peterbot, meet our 2026-27 PAYCheck Crew! 👋

09/14/2026

Hurray for the 2026-27 PAYCheck crew! We celebrated the start of the new school year and got to know the new PAYCheck peeps over lunch at crave😊.

Today’s PAYCheck adventure took us to Five Guys, where our participants got to learn more about what it’s like to work in a restaurant while putting some real-world skills into practice:

1️⃣ Using Google Maps to plan the trip
2️⃣ Walking safely and using crosswalks
3️⃣ Practicing communication with peers
4️⃣ Ordering and paying for lunch
5️⃣ Spending time together and building independence

Work skills, life skills, and a little lunch with friends — we’ll call that a successful job-site visit! 💛

Who says the library is just for books? 👀📚🎲 Our PAYCheck crew discovered that the teen & young adult section has board games ready to play.

Thanks St. Bernard Parish Library for being a great community space for our young wizards — oops, we meant to say adults 🧙
