Happy First Day of Spring and Happy International Francophonie Day! 🦞🇫🇷 Today, we commemorate the 27th anniversary of the United Houma Nation's recognition as a Francophone Nation (1999), a pivotal moment in acknowledging our Nation's unique cultural identity and our long-standing relationship with France.

We also commemorate the 327th anniversary of the meeting of French-Canadian Explorer Pierre Le Moyne d'Iberville and the historic Houma Tribe at the Houmas' Grand Village located north of present-day Baton Rouge (1699). SUPPORT NATIVE-OWNED BUSINESSES!🪶
Many great local businesses are owned and operated by United Houma Nation citizens, and we are excited to support and spread the word about those businesses! The Tribal Office maintains a list of UHN-citizen owned businesses that we share with local community members who are looking for specific services or products. If you would like your business added to this list, please call (985) 223-3093 or email [email protected].
