Complex Incident Management Course Complex Incident Management Course (CIMC) CIMC was designed to prepare Incident Management Teams to manage large, complex incidents for the states.

This diverse course provides training on emergencies related to public health, hazardous materials, and natural disasters to test incident management teams. CIMC invites instructors from around the nation to share their experiences and knowledge for the new generation of first responders. The location for this course alternates yearly based on geographical areas and training needs. CIMC uses a combination educational tools that include lecture, simulated exercises and team collaboration exercise throughout the week long course. The main goal is to enhance the teamโ€™s/individualโ€™s knowledge and functional skill set in the Incident Command System. Simulations are a valuable tool for emergency response and can be used for vulnerability assessment, planning, training and decision support.
