The Irishtown Fire Company was established in 1931. We proudly protect Oxford Township and the neighboring municipalities.

With the luck of the Irish, the Irishtown Fire Company proudly protects the citizens of Oxford Township as well as responding into the neighboring communities. The Irishtown Fire Company was established in 1931, and is located 3 miles south of New Oxford. We respond to approximately 80 Fire and Rescue calls per year. In late 2006 the Irishtown Fire Company built an addition on to house the fire apparatus. The Irishtown Fire Company was placed into service with the idea of protecting our small community with much needed fire protection. Since that time, the community has grown into an agricultural and residential community. The Irishtown Fire Company has also grown to include our current apparatus with an eye towards the future. Led by Chief Pete Dupree, the Irishtown Fire Company currently operates a Stuphen Engine, a Spartan Darley Engine-Tanker, a Ford F-550 Special Unit, and a Ford F250 Traffic Unit.

Tomorrow is the big day!!!!!

The re-scheduled Public Safety Open House is tomorrow (10/10/26). Be sure to stop out and see us from 1-5pm at the station. As of right now it looks like mother nature is going to be kind to us this time with no rain and temps right around 70. Some of the details have changed due to availability, but we are still going to have a great day. We still have both air medical helicopters coming with WellFlight 2-8 landing around 2, and Stat 13 arriving around 3:30.

We'll see you tomorrow!!!!!

***OPEN HOUSE ANNOUNCEMENT***

With the pending incoming weather from the Nor'easter working up the coast, we have made the decision to err on the side of caution and postpone our Public Safety Open House until Saturday, October 10th. It will still be from 1p-5p that day here at the fire house, but with the weather our air medical friends would not be able to fly, and nobody wants to stand around in the rain and get wet all day. So please mark your calendars now for the 10th and lets hope for a better forecast. Thank you all for your support, and don't forget we also have Bingo next Sunday the 4th, doors at 11a

Remembering the life of past Fire Chief, Cyril Hagerman. While historical records of years of service and time in positions of the Irishtown Fire Company were poorly kept in years past, everyone in the fire company knew who Chief Hagerman was. The fire company was his turn around point on his daily walks, and his chance to keep an eye on everything. A lifetime of service as described in this obituary. His legacy will remain in our ranks, and we thank Chief Hagerman for his insight, guidance and his unwavering commitment to our fire company. We also thank his family for sharing him with us. Rest in peace, Chief Hagerman
