Fun, Laughter & Community at Cross Keys Village!

It was a day full of smiles, laughter, and working together at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community!

Our Campus-Wide Fun Fair brought together more than 100 participants from Residential Living, Personal Care, and Healthcare, along with team members from a dozen departments across campus. It was a wonderful celebration of the connections, creativity, and community spirit that makes Cross Keys Village such a special place to call home and work!

There was no shortage of fun! Highlights included our Healthcare team’s Human Whack-a-Mole, the Security team’s fishbowl game with handmade fish created by our Knitters and Crocheters Group, Housekeeping’s fuzzy mustaches, and the Foundation team’s costumed crew serving up concessions.

At Cross Keys Village, it’s moments like these that remind us that community is about more than where we live and work, it’s about the friendships we build, the laughter we share, and the memories we make together.

Resident Becky has always been known to spread smiles across our campus! This week she travelled around to share cards with residents and team members alike. Her contagious smile brightens every room she enters!

Team members from all levels of care took part in day one of the CKV Skills Fair! Various stations inspired by travel destinations popped up for each team member to visit with their passport and get a refresher on skills specific to their duties. Ongoing training can be fun when you work for a great place like Cross Keys Village!

Residential Living put together a Village Vitality Week program for the ages! The fall 2026 "Through the Decades" was full of fun activities that focused on all types of wellness. Villagers were treated to fitness classes, classic games, presentations, and music during the week. We look forward to seeing the next Village Vitality Week in the spring!

We are thrilled to announce that Mandy Crawford, RN, Personal Care Clinical Services Director at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community, will receive the prestigious 2026 Joan Anne McHugh Award for Excellence in Frontline Nurse Supervision. She will be honored this October at the LeadingAge Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.

Inspired by the compassionate caregivers who supported her late parents, Mandy joined Cross Keys Village in 2008, beginning her journey as a CNA and earning her RN in 2021. Today, she oversees care in our 91-bed personal care building and manages a dedicated 60-person team.

Beyond her daily clinical leadership, Mandy is a passionate mentor who invests deeply in her team’s growth, champions enhanced training programs, and fosters a culture of trust. Please join us in congratulating Mandy on this well-deserved national recognition!
