We are looking for a GIS Manager who will assist in the development and maintenance of the MWCD GIS data sets and database. 🗺

📓This position's duties include reading and interpreting source documents, such as civil engineering plans, plot maps, and legal descriptions of property holdings. Acts as a cartographic specialist relative to projects conducted by the engineering staff and other departments throughout the Muskingum Watershed. Oversees the mapping of facilities and infrastructure, subdistrict and GIS programs within the district.

Ecology students went to the lake to conduct field sampling. At each location, the students recorded the water depth, secchi depth, phosphate/pH/conductance, and temperature and oxygen.

In an effort to support educators, wildlife, and instill an admiration for and connection with nature in the generations to come, MWCD has developed an Earth Day Native Tree Giveaway Program. This program provides native bare-root tree seedlings to students attending public and private K-12 schools across the region to promote environmental stewardship and celebrate Earth Day in 2027. 🌳

This program provides the opportunity for students to watch their seedlings grow throughout their lifetime and see firsthand the benefits trees bring.🌱

🌏Help the next generation grow a love for nature!
