💜 During a difficult or frightening time, knowing where to turn can make a difference.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we want survivors to know that help is available at the Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller’s Office.
In this video, Clerk Nikki Alvarez-Sowles shares how our Office assists individuals seeking protection from violence or stalking. Our teammates can provide the appropriate forms, explain the filing process, and answer procedural questions. While we cannot provide legal advice, we can help you understand the steps to have your petition presented to the court.
Our Empowerment Rooms in Dade City and New Port Richey offer a private space to complete the necessary paperwork, with support available from our teammates and community partners including Sunrise of Pasco, Inc. and The Salvation Army Domestic Violence Program of Pasco County, Florida The Salvation Army of Pasco County, FL. These services are provided at no cost.
We understand that coming to the courthouse under these circumstances can feel overwhelming. You do not have to navigate the filing process alone.
Watch the video to learn more, and please share it to help others know where to turn. Additional information is available at pascoclerk.com.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
