MHA Emergency Operations Center The purpose of this page is to 1. Use this page as a resource to promote and support area Emergency Services.

The MHA Emergency Operations Center (EOC) focuses on all phases of disaster response (prevention/mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery) for the Fort Berthold Reservation When Emergencies occur, we will update our page and other social media with pertinent updates as needed throughout the incident, as well as answering questions when possible, and only when it does not interfere with our staff's response tasks. During a Disaster and/or Emergency, we will more than likely be in the field supporting incident operations, and not in the office during normal hours of operation. Provide Situational Awareness/Information Sharing on Necessary Emergency Preparedness Resources in coordination with other Emergency Services as accurately as possible with the information obtained at the time. 2. Provide all residents and guests of Fort Berthold Reservation with timely updates on MHA EOC community events, projects, and other department developments.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and we are sharing weekly tips to help everyone stay informed and better protect our Tribal systems and personal accounts. Below are highlights from Week 1 and Week 2.

Week 1: Strong Passwords
• Use long passwords or passphrases (15+ characters recommended)
• Avoid reusing passwords across accounts
• Consider using a password manager
• Never share your passwords—legitimate IT staff will never request them

Week 2: Turn On Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA)
• MFA adds an extra layer of security using a code or app
• Authenticator apps are more secure than text messages
• Deny any unexpected login prompts
• Never share MFA codes with anyone
If you have general questions or want guidance on the process, feel free to contact Taylor Bradley, CTTP, Technical Operations Officer of the MHA EOC @mhanation.com
