Fire Prevention Month Day 19
🚨A full charge isn’t worth a house fire!🚨
Charging your phone on a bed or under a pillow may seem harmless, but it can increase the risk of fire.
Most smartphones use lithium-ion batteries. When damaged, defective, or overheated, these batteries can enter thermal runaway, producing intense heat, flammable gases, and potentially causing a fire.

On behalf of all the members of the Weesaw Township Fire Department, we want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us for the breakfast and car show, even in the rain! While the turnout started off slow, it picked up wonderfully as the weather cleared.

A special shoutout to Chad Sperry for leading the Car Show and Open House for Auto Rod Technologies, to The Band New Troy for their fantastic music, and to Brett Boyd and Classic Catering for providing the portable bathroom trailer. We also want to thank the New Troy Community Center for letting us use their building, and all the food trucks for helping make this event a success.

We’re excited to announce that we plan to expand this event next year, and we would love to hear your suggestions on what you’d like to see!

Thank you once again for your continued support.

Warm regards,
Weesaw Township Fire Department
