New Ulm Turner Hall Turner Hall has been at the heart of New Ulm since 1856. New Ulm comes together at Turner Hall for events, food, drinks, weddings, and more.

New Ulm Turner Hall is more than a building, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is the historic Rathskeller. As the oldest bar in Minnesota, generations have enjoyed a good time and great food. We’ve been serving good food (and beverages) in the same room since 1873. Enjoy lunch or dinner (and a little Gemütlichkeit) in the historic Rathskeller. Our menu includes classic German dishes, as well as contemporary American fare, all at reasonable prices. We also have the best patio in town! We are open to the public, and if you join Turner Hall as a member, you’ll receive a discount! We offer daily specials, and take-out. Turner Hall is the perfect place to host your wedding or special event. It is also home to the oldest, first-class gymnastic program. New Ulm Turner Hall is open to the public with no admission charge. If you are planning a trip to New Ulm, Turner Hall makes the perfect stop. Viewing our historic murals alone makes the trip worth it.

Come experience the world through a new lens at historic Turner Hall!

The photographs are on display in our Founders Room ( off of the parking lot) through October. It is free and open for anyone to check out.
