American 🇺🇸 Presidential Election 🗳️ 2024 - The conundrum facing many Nigerian American Voters .
It is true that majority of Nigerians in America 🇺🇸 before now, along with the African American Community voted or supported the Democratic Party at least since President Clinton tenure. We massively supported President Barrack Obama wholeheartedly, supported Hillary Clinton and then Current President Joe Biden 2020. The reason in my opinion is that the Democratic Party seems to be more welcoming of immigrants and supports at least on paper, a diverse American society with equal opportunity for all.
This is until you take time to really consider the policies of the democratic parties elected leaders which often betrays their manifesto and only serve the interests of the party often at the detriment of immigrants themselves.
I had an interesting conversation about this coming US Presidential election with a friend we will call Engr. X . A successful Nigerian American Entrepreneur, who has voted Democrat consistently like many in our community here in America and currently a canvasser for the party. Our conversation drive home the point that the Republican Candidate President Donald Trump victory in November 2024 will likely best serve our interests as Nigerian citizens both here in America 🇺🇸 and back home in Nigeria 🇳🇬.
Here is an excerpt from our conversation:
Engr. X stated;
My concern is that Trump is a transactional leader - tit for tat.
Elon Musk was supporting DeSantis for president against Trump in 2022, while Trump was trashing Elon and his electric cars.
Now, because Elon promised to donate $45 million to Trump's campaign - Trump has now become Elon's new pal.
The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi who is a dictator and human rights violator like Tinubu, funneled $10 million to Trump's campaign, and Trump not only invited this dictator to the White House but also showered the Egypt President with praise.
I know that you will always refer to Trump's meeting with Buhari when he asked why Buhari was killing Christians as an indication that Trump likes Christians.
Nothing can be further from the truth as Saudi Arabia is constantly slaughtering Christians, but Trump remains the Saudi Prince best friend because of the Saudi oil money.
We all know that Tinubu will always pay his way through any difficult situation - and Trump's administration will break every rule to legitimize an illegitimate Tinubu administration.
I hate that Biden's administration did not actively expose Tinubu for his criminality, but I will cut them some slack for never inviting Tinubu to the White House. In fact, Kamala avoided Tinubu's Nigeria during her tour of African countries. This was a sign of disrespect since Nigeria has always being a critical partner to the United States.
Trump's administration will roll out the red carpet for Tinubu.
In my response, I said the following;
Very strong points, you could be right, but then again we don’t know what Trump would have done or will do with Tinubu for certain. But we know exactly what Democrats Joe Biden has done and is doing which is cozy up to a known drug dealer with actual criminal history in Chicago, ignoring his violent rigging of Nigeria 🇳🇬 2023 elections against Peter Obi, who is the most credible politician Africa has ever produced.
It was not in America’s 🇺🇸 Democratic Party national interest for them to help defend 220 million black peoples democracy but rather have a suspected CIA puppet in A*o Rock which they can control to keep China 🇨🇳 and Russia 🇷🇺 away from Nigeria 🇳🇬 and control ECOWAS with Nigeria’s influence being regional superpower with the largest population and economy, whilst continuing raw materials extraction through Exxon and Chevron without much need infrastructural development to show for it.
With the Democratic Party sleekness, they are like a girlfriend who could poison your cup of coffee ☕️ if it serves their interests. But Trump is a known quantity, He likes nobody nor interferes with no CIA operation to subvert democracies abroad.
He won’t be silent about the Christmas Day Massacre in Jos, Plateau State. He will put America first and mind his business. Trump will roll back restrictions on economic activity including oil drilling which will lower oil prices, the number one driver of inflation in America.
If like you said Tinubu buys him over, well we will be exactly where we are right now with sleepy joe and Kamala. Need I remind you that I was among several Nigerians in America who physically traveled to Washington DC at the White House gate 3 times, post 2023 Nigeria Botched Presidential Election 🗳️ to protest 🪧 against the brazen violent rigging of the Nigerian 2023 election 🗳️, hoping that the Democratic Party would protect the Nigerian Democracy, but to my shock and amazement, inspite of glaring evidence of what transpired across Nigeria 🇳🇬, even in the face of a scathing EU report on same election, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris turned a blind eye and sheepishly sent Secretary Blinken to go do their dirty work with Tinubu the chief actor and beneficiary of the worst most violent election 🗳️ in Nigeria 🇳🇬 recent history.
What the Democrats will not tolerate in America 🇺🇸 is permissible in a far away black country of no relevance.
David Hundien a Nigerian Journalist in exile who uncovered Tinubu’s drug history in Chicago, is currently in court with Biden’s FBI to release criminal records of Tinubu which Joe Biden administration has heavily redacted. Furthermore, Chicago State University is hiding information about which Bola Tinubu attended their institution, whether Female as shown on the CSU transcript or the forged certificate they refused to condemn.
It is just exhausting supporting a party that ties much needed humanitarian Aid to LGBTQ legalization in a largely very conservative African countries which if given time will eventually at their own pace loosen their restrictions just like Europe and the west took many years to come to where they are on these same rights. Should we talk about what the democratic president barrack Obama did to Libya 🇱🇾, a one time prosperous oil producing North African Country, which sadly is now embroiled in an unending civil war with drugs, weapons and human trafficking ever increasing.
Lastly, as a business owner and employer of Labour here in America 🇺🇸, the Democratic Party is bad for the economy. Too much taxes, skyrocketing inflation backed by endless government spending, war monging-globalistic world view, unbridled immigration policies of open borders with very little or no support for actual legal immigration legislation, etc .
This is why I am supporting President Donald Trump for 2024.
