U.S. Role in Yemen War Will End Unless Trump Issues Second Veto The House gave final passage to a resolution to end United States military assistance for the war in Yemen, sending the bipartisan rebuke of President Trump to his desk for a promised veto.

We are expecting a vote on the Yemen War Powers Resolution (S.J.Res. 7) in the House of Representatives as early as TOMORROW! We have one last chance to pass this legislation and pull the United States out of involvement in Yemen, which is still the worst humanitarian crisis in the world and where 150 children die every day.
H.J.Res.37, passed in February, died in the Senate due to an unrelated amendment on anti-Semitism that was deemed ungermane and stripped the bill of its privileged status. While fighting anti-Semitism is important, weaponizing it as a political tool is not (read this article: https://buff.ly/2Uy4cLA on why even J Street and the ADL are against it) and a similar action against S.J.Res.7 could kill the bill entirely.
Make sure to call the congressional switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and urge your representatives to support a CLEAN version of the bill, without any new amendments or a motion to recommit!

After a long wait and years of work, the Senate is set to vote on S.J.Res.7, which would end U.S. support for the crisis in Yemen, later today!
If you live in New York, make sure to thank Senator Gillibrand for co-sponsoring S.J.Res.7 and ask Senator Schumer to support the resolution! If you're not in New York, please still call & urge your senators to support S.J.Res.7 and end U.S. complicity in this humanitarian crisis!
