We’ve all watched for years with frustration and increasing fury as Democrats have neglected to take any truly meaningful action to stop the rise and expansion of power of the radical right.

With Prop 50, Dems in California are fighting fire with fire, treating the egregious Republican gerrymandering efforts in Texas not like normal party politics but as the existential threat they really are (and have been for decades all across the country!)

Proposition 50 in California provides us with a real chance right now to make 2026 less of an uphill climb. The new maps in CA could net Democrats as many as five seats, significantly lowering the threshold needed to take back the House next year. And let’s not forget, the stakes of winning the House are…immense. If MAGA gets two more years of full federal government control, it’s hard to imagine what our country looks like on the other side.

Now, as we wait for results to roll in, we wanted to say thank you. We are so grateful to the for their leadership, to Georgians for turning out and mobilizing their friends, family, and neighbors, and to you all for making calls ahead of this crucial election.

If the events of the past two weeks have shown us anything, it’s that we can not let up. The division that grew under Trump wasn’t sowed by him alone and it won’t disappear with him out of office. The future of our democracy remains in jeopardy and some of the most critical work of mending it happens during the off-season, between election cycles. In a time when truth is being disputed and we can’t rely on voters getting quality information, the value of a one-on-one conversation can’t be understated. Your efforts are crucial. This week we are back in NC, where a win for Joe Biden would all but ensure an Electoral College triumph. It's also home to perhaps the most significant Senate contest this cycle, as a potential Democratic Senate majority will likely be decided by the outcome of this race. We can only win in purple states like North Carolina when we do extensive voter contact. We don't have much time left— link in bio to join us. 🚙
