The Fund for Public Health in New York City incubates innovative public health initiatives to improve health for all.

We work with NYC's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to raise funds for public health programs across the city. Since our founding in 2002, we’ve secured more than $500 million to support over 440 projects that improves the lives of New Yorkers. Thanks to public-private partnerships from philanthropic organizations and individuals, FPHNYC is able to test new, pioneering approaches that transform lives across the city.

Happy , NYC! 🌈🥳 This June, join the NYC Health Department in celebrating our city’s LGBTQ+ communities at Pride events across the five boroughs, where they'll be distributing free safer s*x products and health promotional materials.

As we celebrate, we reflect on how far we’ve come — and how far we still have to go — in protecting and celebrating LGBTQ+ communities here in New York City.

The road to a to***co-free life isn't always linear, reminding us that support makes every step easier. This ***coDay, we recognize that quitting to***co isn’t always a straight path — and with the right support, it’s a journey worth taking for your health.

To***co use remains the leading cause of preventable death and disease in the U.S., with continued impact in New York City despite progress in reducing smoking rates.
FPHNYC supports NYC REACH and NYC Treats To***co in strengthening evidence-based to***co cessation efforts across NYC health systems, helping providers deliver consistent, effective support to patients who use to***co.

We had a great time at our Summer Kickoff yesterday at Lawn Club NYC! We enjoyed an afternoon of lawn games, good food, and friendly competition while spending time together outside the office. It was a fun way to celebrate the start of summer and connect with colleagues. ☀️🎯

“The dark cloud lifted—and I got my life back.”

Opioid addiction can feel like a dark cloud—pulling you away from your joy and the people you love. But treatment can ease withdrawal, reduce cravings, and help your body heal.

That’s why the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and FPHNYC partner with trusted community providers to expand access to opioid treatments and provide support that gets you back on track and brings back hope.
