Success Academy used many tactics to attempt to gain access to several schools.

As the PTA president of one of the district schools that were being affected with the co-location of Success Academy. I was happy to hear the news. A WIN is A WIN. And we Won this.

Charter school wants elementary, middle, high school students to share buildings in southeast Queen Success Academies is looking to fill what it calls "empty space" in public school buildings. But many students, teachers and parents say the plan inappropriate.

Over 500 students walked out of Springfield Gardens HS in D29 and proceeded to MS72 in D28 in protest and solidarity against proposed Success Academy elementaryco-location on both campuses that are erroneously listed as having excess space in DOE blue book. DOE officials on site for a walk-through at MS72 admitted to it being first time in person on the campus and all the space decisions were made only from paper plans. The space allocation in reality is much different with D75/P993 actually being forced to have PE for some of its neediest students in the gym locker-room due to space and time sharing limitations in the school's one gymnasium.
