I'm after some ideas regarding the flooring in my hallway. The house was built in 1799 with a large extension being added in the 1960s, the hallway includes both old and new house. I hate the current floor so it needs to go. I'm keen on tiles but just don't know what type. We're slowly trying to put back the cottage feel in this home, the carpet on the stairs is new (ish) so it's hard to find something that will look good with a pattern. I’ve been browsing the group, where I’ve found some beautiful handmade tile designs and unique flooring options that might just work for the space. This is what people see as soon as they come through the front door, I'd like to make a statement but nothing too out there or over the top.
I've been following this page for a while and love what has been suggested for others so thought I'd give it a go. Thanks in advance.

I just moved in to a 2 bedroom condo leaving behind a 7 bedroom Victorian. My heart aches but I had to downsize at 62 with disabilities.
Today I’m almost finished with my bedroom. I wanted to post before I continued asking does it look to “churchy” or does it send out feelings of comfort?

Here’s what I wanted to share with you: a piece of furniture that my dad, who is paraplegic, made for me as a gift. It’s crafted from several types of wood: ash, poplar, fir, oak, plum, and bird cherry, as well as walnut. The walnut is 45 years old because my dad cut it down before building my childhood home 🤗, and the ash is 20 years old, etc. Each type of wood has its own story related to my childhood ❤️. All that’s left is for me to add the handles 😊. From the net
