On October 17th, property owners, business owners and residents gathered at One Fifth for the 29th Annual Meeting of the Village Alliance. Former Village Alliance Executive Director William Kelley and NYU's Lynne Brown were honored for their service to Greenwich Village.

To commemorate The Public Theater's production of A Raisin in the Sun, visitors of Astor Place are now able to take part in the art installation "To Sit A While" until October 21st. By Alison Saar, this sculpture features the figure of Hansberry surrounded by five bronze chairs. The life-size chairs are an invitation to the public to do just that: to sit with her and think.

The Village Beat: July News from the Village Alliance Wicked Jane has once again opened up their outdoor seating. Available to the bar area and outdoor patio, Wicked Jane is bringing back their legendary duck tacos. The Michelin Star eatery will be offering a variety of margaritas, along with the tacos, Tuesday-Saturday from 5pm-7pm.
