We had a great time at the Yankees’ 2026 Bronx Boroughwide STEM Expo and Science Fair last weekend!

Our team spent the day talking with students, families, and community members about The People’s Money and collecting votes on projects that could make a difference in the Bronx. It was inspiring to see so many young people engaged in STEM and civic participation all in one place at Yankee Stadium.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table and helped shape how public dollars are spent in their borough!

We asked New Yorkers what they’d do if they had access to $4 million of the city budget — but it wasn’t a hypothetical question.

The People’s Money lets New Yorkers decide how to spend part of the NYC budget on resident-proposed projects that will be implemented in their borough.

From housing to youth programs, public safety to maternity support, the ideas are already on the ballot. Now it’s your turn to decide which ideas get funded.

In honor of Child Care Educator Appreciation Month, our Chair & Executive Director Sarah Sayeed visited Elohim Daycare in the Bronx. We applaud and celebrate the staff at Elohim for the dedication, love and care you provide to Bronx children and their families!

This month’s designation is also a reminder that child care educators should not only be recognized for their essential work, but centered as voices and decision makers in shaping the policies and programs that support NYC families. The city is stronger because of the dedication, compassion, and leadership child care educators bring to their communities this and every month. 💛
