25 years. A quarter of a century. Yet for those who were there, the memory remains as vivid as ever. 🕊️🇺🇸
On September 11, 2001, members of the Bay Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps answered the call without hesitation, deploying to Ground Zero to support medical triage, staging, and rescue operations alongside our fellow first responders.
These photos, taken on September 13, 2001, offer a quiet glimpse into those early days—the devastation, the exhaustion, and the unwavering resolve of a united city working side by side.
Today, we pause to honor the 2,977 innocent lives lost, the heroic first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the many who have since passed from 9/11-related illnesses.
We promised to Never Forget. 25 years later, that promise remains unbroken.
