Hey all, have you thought of someone in your building or on your block who you think might be alone and in need? I like to check on neighbors, what else am i doing? Of course take all the precautions, especially if you're checking on someone elderly or infirm. I'm no health professional so weigh in if there's some big gaffe.
Option 1: Knock on the door.
Obviously, mask & gloves. *Bring a post it note to tack to their door with your name and phone number. Speak loudly, ask them NOT to open the door, but that you, their neighbor, is checking on them. Do they have food, water, essentials? Tell them there is a note on the door with your info if they need help.
Option 2: Just the note.
Tack a note with your contact info on the door.
*Coronavirus can live on paper from 5 min to 24 hours. Best to open a new pack of notes or ream of paper, WITH gloves. Otherwise, take paper from the middle of the ream/notebook and again, use gloves. I have a spray bottle w an alcohol water mix, I spray the paper and let it dry before writing on it.
