September is the perfect time to join Sing in Solidarity as we begin rehearsing songs of the IWW for our November performance at Brooklyn Folk Fest. Come experience the warmth of collectivism firsthand. No experience needed.

You might not consider yourself a socialist, but there's a good chance those you admire - artists, scientists, your working class grandparents - were socialists whose politics were whitewashed.

We've got a packed weekend coming up, with a rehearsal AND a hootenanny.

Rehearsal - Feb 7
We are starting a new concert season, making this a great time to jump in for our open rehearsal (no auditions).

Hootenanny - Feb 8
It's also our first hootenanny of the year. What's a hootenanny, you ask? If you've never been to one, you are in for a treat. A hootenanny is a slang word for "party" or get-together where folks sing and play guitar/banjo/mandolin/whatever you've got! We'll be jamming to the Little Red Songbook and all our bluegrass/redgrass faves, so bring your voice, your friends, and your instruments. If you don't play an instrument, don't worry! Just come with your voice.
