Ostracodes.
The island paradise of the Maldives shines a little brighter from mid-summer to winter when the ocean and shore glow and sparkle. The bright light is emitted by ostracod crustaceans, which are bioluminescent organisms. The warm waters surrounding these islands create the perfect environment for these luminous organisms, which can glow for more than one minute.

The African elephant is recognized as the largest mammal that lives on Earth.
The largest elephant ever known was a male African elephant killed in Angola in 1974, weighing about 12,240 kilograms.
