We have a new community showcase up on the street level of the library! Come by to take a look at Joe Militello's latest works of art. He is a Brooklyn-born artist and early participant in the burgeoning East Village and Williamsburg art scenes of the 1980s. Joe has done performance at ABC No Rio on the Lower East Side, and has worked in painting, drawing collage and assemblage and his work has been written up in the NY Times. His current work combines the artist's various interests in science, numerology, black holes, dark matter, and baseball.

We will be showing Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain on Friday, January 5th at 2pm in our Community Room. The film follows the life and career of chef, author, and travel documentarian Anthony Bourdain, who died by su***de on June 8, 2018, at the age of 61 while on location in France for his CNN show Parts Unknown. The documentary features interviews with David Chang and Éric Ripert, as well as members of the production crew from Parts Unknown.
