Toy/Coat drive 2024 was a huge success we were able to provide children and adults with toys, coats, snacks and Santa Claus paid a visit!

Work on your vision board the day of along with a glass of wine included or you can take it with you to work on at home or give as a gift. Family photos taken at discount prices. Wellness centered vendors: customized tumblers and self love inspired accessories, foot detox, reiki,seamoss,natural skincare, crystals,vegan treats and meals,natural juices,book signing, stroke and diabetes prevention talks and more!

Our District 12 Council Member Kevin C. Riley, hand delivered a sweet potato pie this morning to be enjoyed this Thanksgiving! Such a sweet surprise. This kind gesture is truly appreciated. Thank you for always supporting the vision of People United As One and for all you do for our community ❤️

People United As One is a 501c3 recognized organization founded in 2021 by Co-founders Yonna Lovell-Clunie and Melanie Clunie. Our mission is to provide resources such as Healthcare, housing referrals and combating food insecurity in our community.

During the height of the pandemic was the motivation to start "People United As One". We were devastated by the illness and death toll. We were compelled to make a difference.

We started by acknowledging the Healthcare workers; who were tirelessly working. We took appreciation lunches and care packages to hospital employees of all capacities. Doctors, nurses, security guards and housekeeping were adorned with lunches, gifts and words of encouragement.

We were blessed with monetary donations from others which enabled us to do the footwork to make these kind gestures happen. It did not stop there. People United As One provided hot cooked meals to the seniors and shut in. This gave the seniors who were isolated a meal and a wellness check.

Our mission to serve others spanned further by providing resources for families. We coordinate and execute back to school drives, holiday toy drives and veterans toiletry supply drives. Food packages of fresh produce and non-perishable food items are delivered to families and individuals weekly. During the holidays we hand deliver turkeys to families. The only requirement is the need.

Our goal is to continue providing community members with resources and to assist with fighting food insecurity while bringing people together from all walks of life regardless of race, gender and orientation.

It takes a lot of effort and experience to learn how to let go of things that are out of our control and live in the present. We miss so much of life because we are busy with or worried about the past or the future. Yet today is all we have.

We all want good relationships, but in order to be happier, turn the flashlight of awareness onto yourself. It’s so interesting that taking care of ourselves and not taking things personally actually improves relationships with others.

Build the foundations for your fulfillment. Take care of your health annd wellbeing. Then everything that emerges is built on solid ground. Of course, life is never perfect - there’s no such thing; but celebrate your life for what it is right now, warts and all.
