Many college students arrive on campus already navigating housing insecurity, food access, and financial strain. Without the right support, too many don't make it to graduation.

Community College of Philadelphia is working to change that. As the only open-admission public college in Philadelphia, CCP serves 20k+ students a year. Through their partnership with Single Stop, they're making sure those students can access the resources they need to stay enrolled and succeed.

The impact is measurable: students who received direct support through Single Stop persisted at an 85% rate, compared to 72% for those who did not. As Single Stop becomes even more integrated with CCP’s support ecosystem, the college is poised to help even more students achieve stability, well-being, and academic success.

In partnership with Navy Federal Credit Union, more than 15 million members can now access available tax benefits through Single Stop’s screening and support services – along with direct assistance and personalized guidance to help them take the next steps in their financial planning.

Directing the fifth largest VITA tax program in the country, Single Stop also provides in-person tax preparation at multiple VITA sites across New York City. Nationwide, individuals can access guidance and resources through our website to find trusted tax support local to their community.

Today, more than half of college students in the U.S. face basic needs insecurity, leaving schools like Southern New Hampshire University as they work to support students and sustain enrollment.
