Join us live at 10am for the Technology and Fire & Emergency Management Committees' joint hearing on the failure of the City’s 311/911 Systems During Tropical Storm Isaias, led by committee chairs Council Member Robert F. Holden and Council Member Joseph C. Borelli.
The committees will be reviewing Int. 1755 by Chair Holden that would require DOITT - NYC Government Tech to conduct an assessment of the interactive map used for the intake of NYC 311 service requests & complaints in order to determine the feasibility of improving location accuracy of the map.

This morning the committee voted 6-0 in favor of adopting a bill that will codify into the City Charter the office of New York City Cyber Command, an important step toward securing the city's growing digital infrastructure against cyber threats. The bill, Int. 1297-A, is sponsored by Council Members Ritchie Torres, Robert Holden, Peter Koo, Justin Brannan, Robert Cornegy, Vanessa Gibson, Ben Kallos and Paul Vallone.
