India at UN (Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations, Geneva) and Permanent Mission of Austria to the United Nations, organized a solemn event on the International Day of UN Peacekeepers to pay tributes to the supreme sacrifice of the fallen Peacekeepers.

Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni, Permanent Representative, highlighted that Blue Helmets continue to be the face of the United Nations in crisis spots in different parts of the world.

Paid homage to over 4000 brave men & women, uniformed & civilian peacekeepers, who laid down their lives for peace.

India, as proud partner since 1948, has deployed nearly 300,000 troops in over 50 UN Peacekeeping Missions. 184 Indian peacekeepers made the supreme sacrifice in defence of international peace and security.

🇮🇳 to join the elite club of countries to use hydrogen fuel cell technology to power railways.

➡️ The 10-car trainset, 1200 KW hydrogen fuel cell propulsion system will operate on Jind-Sonipat sector.

➡️ An indigenous hydrogen storage and refuelling facility has been set up.

➡️ This project supports 🇮🇳's net-zero carbon emission goals and homegrown sustainable infrastructure innovation.

A testimony to the commitment to SDGs 7 (Clean Energy) and 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure).
