And Mariana quickly shut her eyes as she pondered anxiously what his next move was gonna be

"Is he gonna kiss me" Mariana thought to herself while her heart beat numerously as Ruthfordo stared at her sexy lips wanting to kiss and vulgarize every bit of it

But he just dipped his hands in his pocket and brought out a necklace

He wore it for Mariana as he gazed as her smooth body

Immediately he pit the necklace on Mariana suddenly opened her eyes and still met Ruthfordo staring at her as their eyes locked together again

"Now tell me are there no feelings attached?" Ruthfordo whispered into Mariana ear as it rang a bell

Gosh his eyes was something that always made Mariana become speechless but the soft touch on her neck she badly wants him but she's trying her possible best to hold herself back

"Answer me Mariana" Ruthfordo beckoned as he wrapped his right hand around Mariana's waist and pulled her closer to himself

Right now his chest was pressed on her b***s and she's obviously shorter than him

She continued staring and thought of how she would be able to kill someone this charming and good with his words

And without warning he pulled her closer to himself rendering sensational kiss on her forehead which made Mariana want him more as she shut her eyes expecting his next move

Then Ruthfordo brought out a necklace and wore it for her in which after wearing it Mariana opened her eyes and met her target looking as hot as ever and she craved for his lips on hers badly

"So answer me are there no feelings attached?" Ruthfordo asked as Mariana blinked in confusion

Ruthfordo then gave a pretty smile as he stared at Mariana's face

"I badly wanna kiss your lips" Ruth whispered into her eyes lighty as he left Mariana speechless

"F*ck what do I do about him?" Mariana whispered to herself as she held her beating chest

Soon Lucas and Kyra returned home and Mariana was in the sitting room awaiting their arrival

"You guys took longer than expected" Mariana said to Kyra as she came in with Lucas who held their shopping bags

"You're here all alone? Where's Ruthfordo?" Lucas asked as Kyra sat beside Mariana on the sofa

"He's probably in his room" Mariana replied as Lucas headed to Ruthfordo's room

"So what happened while we were out?" Kyra asked as she smiled heavily

"Nothing much. He was in his room all through" Mariana lied

"You sure?" Kyra asked

"Yea and what about you? What happened between you and Lucas out there and is that a new bracelet?" Mariana asked

"Well it's also nothing" Kyra replied knowingly

"You sure?" Mariana repeated

"Yea" Kyra replied with a firm look

"Whatever. Let's go to the room so we can sort out the things you guys bought" Mariana said as she grabbed the shopping bags and Kyra followed

Lucas went into Ruthfordo room without knocking and met him at his reading desk with a file in his hands

"What are you doing?" Lucas asked as he came into the room

"And why haven't you always learned how to knock?" Ruthfordo replied with a question

"Just answer the question" lucas beckoned

"Well I'm checking the files I stumbled upon in dad's study" Ruthfordo replied

"And what type of file exactly?" Lucas asked

"Well it's the file containing the list of blind dates from different countries for you and I" Ruthfordo replied as Lucas sat on Ruthfordo's bed

"I'm so glad that I made the contract marriage" Ruthfordo said happily

"About the girls do you think you might ever find love in them and what made you get attracted to Mariana" Lucas questioned as he waited for Ruthfordo's honest reply

"Well you've known me for a very long time and I'm sure you should have come to a realization that I might never find love in anyone but as for Mariana there's something that keeps on attracting me to her every passing day and it's something which I can't seem to place" Ruthfordo replied honestly as he faced Lucas

"What about Kyra?" Ruthfordo asked

"What about Kyra?" Ruthfordo asked confusedly

"Well Kyra seems like someone very nice but I'm afraid I might end up hurting her feelings" Lucas calmly said

"Well I'm sure you wouldn't hurt her in anyway so just go have a shower and have a night rest since you probably won't have anything tonight" Ruthfordo said as Lucas stood up and left to his room

On his way to his room he saw one of the room doors open as Mariana and Kyra are in the room and they're busy taking about the things Kyra and Lucas bought

"He even got you the black heels" Mariana said surprisingly as she brought out the heels from the box it was

"I know right and I really am happy" Kyra replied happily with an heavy smile while Lucas gave a warm smile and then passed the room

He got his room and layed on his bed after a night shower to give a deep thought about the contract marriage

"Will this work out? am I gonna find love in her? or am I gonna end up hurting her?" Lucas thought to himself as he used his hand to wipe his face

He then got up and decided to go have a glass of water from the kitchen

Mariana was sitted in the room while Kyra had already left the room to go sleep when Mariana received a disturbing text on her phone

"COME OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW AND I GIVE YOU FIVE MINUTES"

Immediately Mariana saw it she quickly put on her footwear and quickly ran downstairs quietly

She came out and stood for about some minutes before seeing another text on her phone

"MOVE CLOSER TO THE BLACK VAN AND COLLECT WHATEVER YOU'RE GIVEN"

She quickly moved to the black van nearby and the back glass was wined down as she was handed a box

Then the glass wined back up as the driver drove away

She quickly ran back inside thinking that no one saw her not knowing that Ruthfordo had been watching her from the balcony

She then bumped into Lucas who saw her nervous face and became worried

"What's wrong? you look worried?" Lucas asked worriedly as he stared at Mariana who hid the box she was holding behind her

"Uhmm.... it's nothing... don't look worried. Besides you look bothered" Mariana responded nervously as sweat ran down her face

"I'm not bothered but Mariana you're sweating and what's behind you?" Lucas asked suspiciously

"It's nothing important. And I'm sweating cause I'm tired so I'll just retire to bed" Mariana said as she ran swiftly to the room

She got in the room and layed on the bed peacefully after closing the door as she decided to check the contents of the box hoping of good results

She opened it and saw some huge amount of cash alongside the papers showing that some long term bills had already been paid by SK and she immediately saw another text message

"YOUR MOTHER'S BILLS NEXT WHEN YOU GET MARRIED TO RUTHFORDO"

"Gosh! I really am tired of this bastard" Mariana spat angrily



Ruthfordo's parents aren't back yet but Mariana is currently in the shower getting ready to dress up and go to work

She does different part time jobs so as to be able to cater for the family

She finished taking her shower as she tied the towel around her body and tied her hair in a bun with the comfy footwear she put on

She came out from the bathroom and met Ruthfordo sitted on the bed dressed up in a baggie top and short

"What's he doing here?" Mariana thought to herself as she swallowed hard

"Ruthfordo what are you doing here?" Mariana asked

"Cause I'm suspicious" Ruthfordo replied plainly

"Suspicious of...."

"Suspicious of you" Ruthfordo cut her off as he stood up from the bed and moved closer to her

"Don't ..... come ...closer" Mariana stammered but Ruthfordo disobeyed as he moved closer to her

"What did you go outside to do? And what was inside the box you collected?" Ruthfordo asked as Mariana slipped in discomfort and almost fell but luckily Ruthfordo caught her but it was by the towel

The towel was still wrapped around her body but he held it at the front with his bare hands almost exposing her b**bs

As Mariana stared in shock as to what would happen next

"What's going on here?" Mariana's aunt asked as she came into the room and met Ruthfordo and Mariana close to each other

Mariana sighted her aunt and quickly pushed Ruthfordo away from herself

"Uhmm.... it's nothing aunt. Why do you ask?" Mariana asked as she pushed Ruthfordo away from herself

"Well I asked because you both have been gone for a while now so I came to check on you if everything was alright" Mariana's aunt replied

"Everything is alright aunt" Mariana said

"Yeah aunt" Ruthfordo said

"Hey! she's not your aunt" Mariana said annoyingly

"Yes she is and as far as I'm getting married to you my family is your family and your family is my family" Ruthfordo said

"Really?" Mariana's aunt asked with a smile

"Yeah and as far as I'm with Mariana, I'm in safe hands" Ruthfordo said as he held Mariana

"Alright baby let's go" Mariana said uncomfortably as they all left the room

They went downstairs and met Kyra and Lucas who had been waiting patiently for them

"What happened? What took you guys so long?" Kyra asked

"Well if you must know Mariana and Ruthfordo were very busy with something very important and it seemed like I had interrupted" Mariana's aunt interrupted as Lucas saw Mariana and Ruthfordo holding hands and just looked away

"You guys should just come eat okay" Lucas said as they all sat down and began eating

"As o when's the date for your marriage?" Mariana's aunt asked

"It hasn't been settled yet but it will" Mariana replied

"Then are you all getting married on the same day?" Mariana's aunt asked

"Yes" Kyra replied

"Come on baby open up" Ruthfordo said as he placed his spoon close to Mariana's mouth and Mariana opened her mouth and ate the food in response as Lucas kept staring at the both

Kyra noticed Lucas face and said jealously" I love you baby"

And Lucas replied" I love you too" as Mariana's aunt smiled happily

"Are you guys leaving when you're done eating?" Mariana's aunt asked

"Yes aunt. Why do you ask?" Lucas asked

"Cause why don't Mariana and Kyra follow you to your home so as for it for them and your family to get close and get to bond" Mariana's aunt suggested but Mariana shook her head in disagreement wanting Ruthfordo to decline

"Well that's not a bad idea so okay" Ruthfordo replied as Mariana faced him angrily

***FEW MINUTES LATER***

They all finished eating and Mariana's aunt had already washed Ruthfordo cloth whereby she packaged it well alongside some food for him and Lucas before they would leave

"Here are delicious food I packaged so make sure to eat them instead of all of those junk food you rich people eat and spoil your internal organs" Mariana's aunt said as she handed the food to Lucas and he placed it in the car

"Thanks aunt. We'll be leaving now" Ruthfordo said as they all got into the car and left the house

They all went out for shopping till in the afternoon and Kyra suggested to spend some time alone with Lucas so Mariana and Ruthfordo headed back to the mansion



Ruthfordo took Mariana to an empty room for her to settle down

"Why did they agree with my aunt?" Mariana asked Ruthfordo as she dropped the bags on the floor

"Well because I thought of it as a good idea for you to come observe some things and even know about a few things in my home or do you have any problem with that?" Ruthfordo asked

"No I don't" Mariana replied

"I actually want you to spend time night here" Ruthfordo said

"No but what if your parents are home?" Mariana asked

"That's for me to worry about so just quit worrying" Ruthfordo said as he held Mariana's hand tenderly while Mariana stared at him surprisingly as she stared deeply into his sparking eyes

She quickly let go and turned her face away while Ruthfordo became amused with her change in behavior

"What's going on Mariana?" Ruthfordo asked

"It's nothing" Mariana replied but Ruthfordo knew something was off as Mariana fled to the bathroom

Then Ruthfordo got a text from Lucas that he and Kyra would be out for long so he just simply dropped his phone after seeing the message

He stayed alone for about thirty minutes and Mariana wasn't out yet

"What could she still be doing in there?" Ruthfordo thought to himself as he went downstairs to the sitting room and sat on the couch

Meanwhile Mariana was in the bathroom staring at herself as she remembered Ruthfordo eyes

"Why am I like this? Why do I always act stupid in front of him?" Mariana asked herself as she continued gazing at herself in the mirror and then she remembered when her aunt told her not to return till the following day

"Gosh and I can't possibly spend the night at Kyra's place" Mariana said as she went out of the bathroom

She came out and headed downstairs when she didn't see Ruthfordo as she met Ruthfordo laying on the couch with his eyes closed and his left hand at the back of his hair as she thought he was already asleep

Even as he layed on the couch he looked like a model giving different poses of himself and indeed Mariana couldn't deny the fact that he was hot

She knelt beside him and stared at his pretty face for a long time as she brought out her hand to start stroking his hair he immediately opened his eyes as her eyes widened

He wasn't asleep and their eyes met as they both gazed into each other's eyes

"Maria...."

She quickly broke it and stood up to leave when Ruthfordo calls her

"Mariana" Ruthfordo said as she stopped at where she was

He then stood up and started moving closer to her and the scent of his perfume alone aired into her nose

She then turned to face Ruthfordo who was already moving close to her as she began moving backwards till she hit the wall

He gazed into her cute eyes as he tried earnestly for her to reciprocate but she just stared the other way feeling nervous while her heart began beating hard

She quickly turned away and left

"Baby I'm so happy to be alone with you" Kyra smiled happily

"She and Lucas went to play different kind of fun games and Kyra wishes the day would never end

A child's ice cream was stolen and he weeped so Kyra brought out some cash and got him another to cheer him up

He became happy and smiled at her while thanking her

"Thanks" the boy thanked as Kyra just patted his hair and then Lucas just stared from far

"She really is nice" Lucas thought to himself as he came closer to her and wore her a bracelet

"What's this for?" Kyra asked as she admired the bracelet

"It's nothing. I just thought of giving you" Lucas replied

Mariana was in the room thinking a What happened when Ruthfordo came in

"What are you here for again?" Mariana asked nervously as she stood beside the door when Ruthfordo came in

"I came here to get my phone" Ruthfordo replied

"You sure or did you come here to annoy me again" Mariana rudely said as she rested on the door

"And what if I did? What are you gonna do?" Ruthfordo asked knowingly trying to annoy Mariana

"Well you've annoyed me enough so just leave" Mariana abruptly said

"That's harsh especially to your own boyfriend" Ruthfordo said

"Well this is a contract with no feelings attached" Mariana replied

Then Ruthfordo came closer to her as her heart began pumping then she tried ignoring direct contact with him again but he brought her face close to his as he caged her with his left hand

And his body was pressed on hers with him s lips close to hers as chills ran down her spine

"Ruthfordo please let go of me" Mariana pleaded as she avoided eye contact

"Mariana look at me, look at me Mariana" Ruthfordo said as Mariana's eyes were glued to his

He brought his face closer to hers.....

Watching several romance movies and seeing her best friend practice some actions that she had never experienced, she grew curious and wanted to know how it feels after keeping her lips for a whole 20 years. It resulted into what she didn't predict, her and her best friend became completely inseparable, doing taboos that they aren't supposed to do as best friends after just one playful kiss.

[Cancelled Date]

Jasmine's POV

I applied eye liner as I finished my make up.

*squeaks*

I'm so excited.. This is my first date with my boyfriend that lasted 3 days. I checked myself in the mirror as I posed sexily from time to time. I twirled finally and carried my bag, walking out of my room.

I share an apartment with my best friend, Lexi. Every month, we divide the rent into half and pay. Not that we can't afford it alone but we just love doing it that way as our parents doesn't know about it and we keep the remaining halves to ourselves.

"Ouch! Lexi" came from his room opposite mine... Lexi King at duty.

*giggles*

That's probably the voice of Alicia, his girlfriend. Did I mention that I'm very good in chemistry even when I'm in the humanity and arts department? Well yes, I was the one that set up Lexi and Alicia and they're doing pretty well now.

I brought out my phone and texted him.. I better not disturb their make out session.

"OFF TO MEET CASPER" I texted and went out of the apartment. Casper Dean is my boyfriend and I think I'm madly in love with him right now cuz out of the list of my ex.. he has been the only one that didn't break up with me the day he asked me out.

Apart from Lexi, he'll be the most handsome guy in my world. I entered my red Porsche car and checked out myself in the rear mirror.

..Oupps! my lipstick looks too bright. I took out a wiper and cleaned it off, I better not scare him away. After applying a back up lip gloss, I realized it's too plain. What am I going to do?

I got down from the car and went back into the apartment, I'm probably 30 minutes early so I have no worries. I went into my room and brought out my lipsticks but it confused me more. I took two lipsticks and came out to see Lexi and Alicia fully dressed.

"That was fast" I blurted out and Lexi came to me and wound his arm around my neck.

"Alicia.. Ombre or onion?" I asked her, referring to the shade of the lip colourers and ignoring Lexi's hand around my neck.

"Hm have you tried pink?" she shrugged.

"Aren't you over doing this 'date' with the Dean guy, you could've gone natural or played hard to get" Lexi cuts in.

"Great! Now I know my mortal enemy" I rolled my eyes and went on to try pink lipstick and it was perfect.

"I love you Alicia" I came out and said, proceeding to go down the stairs.

"Hey! what about me" Lexi yelled from behind.

"I just said that before she came out, you're annoying" Alicia bickered and I laughed at them before going to my car and driving to the date venue.

I didn't have high hopes in meeting him there first so I selected a table and ordered juice for both of us in advance. Then I began my waiting..

1 minute, 2 minutes... 10 minutes.. 20 minutes.. an hour..

It's alright, there might be traffic on his way.

1hr 30 minutes...

2 hours..

I felt the back of my hand wet, I didn't even realize I started crying, just then.. my phone beeped.

'CASTO LOVE' it displayed a message notification and I clicked hurriedly.

"Of course.. of course, that's what they all say, Sorry.. sorry" I cried to myself. The contents are similar to the other ones I read.

💌 SORRY JASMINE, SOMETHING POPPED UP AND I WON'T BE ABLE TO MAKE IT.

"I hate all boys!!" I shouted.

'except Lexi' my mind retorts.

"Of course" I replied to myself and the people in the restaurant started looking at me like I was some lunatic.

"Mind your business" I yelled and stood up.

Do I smell? no I don't think so. Is my butt small and my b***s shapeless? no! it doesn't seem so... am I too short? is my skin purple? am I a virus?

No! No! No! I'm not a disease but they all run away from me.. I just need an answer.. I just need to know why they keep toying with my feelings.

I drove to a red light house and took a few shorts of liquor.. when I started seeing fog, I hurriedly dialed the first number on my contact list - Other half.

Unknown POV

When I saw her walk in with a dejected look, I felt a hard pang on my chest. I watched her drown herself in alcohol.. Maybe it's the results of the beer I had earlier but I couldn't keep my eyes off her.

Her beauty was captivating. From the pout on her plump lips whenever she remembers something to the way her big doe eyes rolls. I just wish I could stop her tears from flowing down her beautiful face. Even as her make-up was ruined from her persistent tears, she was still attractive.

"Hey dude what're you looking at?" Today is actually my highschool reunion and my classmates.. ex crushes.. friends are all lined up around me.

"Hm, I just don't feel comfortable here" I swallowed nothing as my eyes begin to wander around again and stop at her again. This time, her head was layed on the bar counter and her eyes were shut. It looked like she fell asleep or fainted.. I really can't know if I'm far away from her.

"Do you remember Chloe? Highschool Bea and every guy crush? surprisingly she said she's on her way and she'd make it"

Chloe was well known for being sassy and rude in my highschool. Yeah, it's amazing that she's going to join us. She rarely participate in low class gathering like this.

I guess she's still all guy's crush. I must admit, I liked her too but now.. when there's this girl in the bar, she's nothing in comparison.

Right.. the girl, I should meet her. I stood up to walk to the sleeping beauty's side but I had to stop in my steps when I saw another guy before her and in no time, he scooped her into his arms and carried her.

"My knight in shining armor" she muttered drunkingly. I didn't even have the chance to ask her before I was rejected.. this is too bad.

"Hey Aiden.. You're cute already in three years" I heard a familiar voice mutter in my front. I felt her sexily drop her filthy hands on my chest.

I remember how she used those same hands to embarrass me in the public.

My mom tapped me at midnight and I woke up instantly as a light sleeper. I stoop up from the small bed on the floor that I shared with my siblings Monalisa and Justin.

The blanket we use as coverage fell, I took it and covered them well but mom still woke Monalisa up.

"Mom are we going somewhere?"I asked
Lisa rolled, but mom tapped her again and she stood up

Lisa grunts and lay her head on my laps but her eyes were opened.

"Sofia"mom called my name
"Yes mom"I replied

"How old are you now?"she asked

"20"I replied, wondering where she might be driving at

"I want to beg you Sofia" mom said and took my right hand into her palms.
Lisa and I exchange puzzled glances.

"Beg Sofia for what?" Lisa asked and mom sighed

"Your father and I don't have enough power to send the three of you to school at the same time so we are suggesting if you can drop for a while so that we can further Lisa and Justin. After all if they read their books well and get jobs it will be for the benefits of all of us" she said sadly

"Whaaaaaaaat!!!!!!!!!" Lisa frowned and stood up then folded her arm, she was already in tears.

"Mom please that can't be possible"Lisa burst into tears

I just kept quiet as a matured mind.

I can feel mom's pain tho..

Lisa nods her head negatively "Sofia can't drop out, how can you expect that
As intelligent as she is, she is always the best in her class, she can't drop out now

"What is the usefulness of her education when she can't allow anybody get married to her. Sofia is just a useless child
I will not spend my money on a useless girl like her " we heard our dad voice from behind.

Well we where not surprised because he hate me so much sometimes I wonder if he is really my Dad

"My daughters don't mind your father he is drunk" mom said

"Who said am drunk, my child is Justin and I will make sure I spend all my money on him, Monalisa even you will soon drop out from school "Dad said
Mom let go of my hand and I rushed inside my room with tears.

So I won't go to school again
I would only watch other kids right?
The door opened, I turned it was my dad he just watched me and left.

Mom came in next to wipe my tears,
I smiled and stopped her from touching my tears.

"I already accept, I will stay at home and I will also continue with my job
One day we will be happy
One day dad will regret every thing he said to me " I said and she smiled.

Always remember Sofia I will not always be there for you，I can only teach you to make it in life but only you can fight it yourself ......

"Make an effort" she said and remove the bangle in her hand

I watched her like movie

"What will I use it for"I asked

"I want you to always put it on, I don't want you to remove it ever in your life
So you can remember the family you come from" she said

"Sofia you are my first child, am sorry I could not attend to do what is your dream but I am sure you will make it in life "she said in tears

I woke up in the morning and went to prepare for work
Well am a waitress in Golden Valley Restaurant.

When I was done preparing I went to the sitting room and meet everyone eating
"Good morning Mom and dad" I greeted

"Good morning my daughter how was your night"Mom smiled

"Fine mom"I answered

But dad said nothing, he was just starring at me

I sat down and eat my food in peace and after I was done I stood up

"Mom I will be going already" I said and cleaned my mouth with a small cloth on the table

"Bye Sofia" Lisa and Justin waved

But dad just kept quiet and was just eating

I signed in relief as I step down from the cab starring at the huge restaurant in front of me boldly written "GOLDEN VALLEY RESTAURANT".

I smiled as I entered the restaurant

"Finally you are here" I heard a voice and it was my only friend in this restaurant sera

"Hi sera"I smiled

"How are you, see as you glowing everyday"she said and I just smiled.

"Common I want to go change '' I said and left to the changing room and after I came out and we started serving people

As I was setting the table l mistakenly spilled wine in the guy shirt

"Where is the damn manager"he yelled again
And our manager rushed in
"I want you to fire this useless girl or l will bring down the place" he barked

Am dead
"Please sir don't do this to me"I pleaded in tears
I faced Queen
"Please help me and beg your brother"I pleaded but she just looked at me in disgust manner
Am gone
