The Consulate General of Saint Lucia in New York advises that this afternoon's "Engaging the Diaspora: An Audience with the Hon. Philip J. Pierre, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, and the Hon. Alva R. Baptiste, Minister for External Affairs" has been cancelled due to the Nor'easter affecting the region and the resulting State of Emergency declared for New York City.

The decision was taken out of concern for the safety of our nationals and all attendees.

The Consulate sincerely regrets any inconvenience and thanks everyone for their understanding.

The Consulate General of Saint Lucia in New York extends an invitation to Saint Lucians across New York and the wider diaspora to Engaging the Diaspora: An Audience with Prime Minister the Hon. Philip J. Pierre and the Hon. Alva R. Baptiste, Minister of External Affairs.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Friends of Crown Heights, 671 Prospect Place, Brooklyn, New York 11216.

This significant gathering will provide an opportunity for open dialogue on matters of national interest, the Government’s vision for Saint Lucia, and the continued role and contribution of the Saint Lucian diaspora in national development.

Engaging the Diaspora reflects the Consulate’s ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful avenues for dialogue and collaboration between Saint Lucians abroad and the Government of Saint Lucia.

The Consulate General encourages Saint Lucians to attend with family and friends and to participate in what promises to be an engaging and impactful afternoon.
