The Heroines of Jericho is the oldest Rite of Adoption. It was founded upon an incident in the history of Israelites. This Bible is still in use by this Court.
The first court was organized and instituted September 5, 1859, as Sheba Court No. 1 and to this day has a Bible with the inscription of the donor with the day, month and year given. Prior to the reorganization of Sheba Court, Alpha Court No. 1, Order Eastern Star, which was organized on April 17, 1887, used this Bible.
