As drew to a close yesterday, we’re heading home energized to continue our work toward economic justice! ⚡️
It was a joy to reconnect with friends at and the powerful network of women’s funds we’re so privileged to work alongside. 🤝
Justice was the heartbeat of this year’s CSW - and at Women First, economic justice for women is at the core of everything we do. ⚖️
Special thanks to and for the wonderful hospitality last week.
Let’s keep building a world where every woman has the economic opportunity to drive global progress. ✨ hashtag hashtag hashtag hashtagGlobalDevelopment hashtagWomenFirst

Wrapping up 2025 with our final Training in Practice (TiP) session alongside partners in India.
Led by Aditi Padiyar and Sunanya Deka, the session explored financial management tools and feminist approaches to resource mobilisation.
TiP has grown into a shared learning community—and we’re excited to continue this accompaniment into 2026. ✨

Yesterday marked the launch of Beyond Our Borders, a Community of Practice rooted in collective learning, care, and protection for LBQT organizations in East Africa.
This space was created to respond to the real digital risks faced by LBQT movements and to support strategies that center safety, resilience, and sustainability across our work.
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined this first gathering and helped set the foundation for what comes next. 💜

Giving Tuesday is a reminder of how much depends on the quiet, everyday work of women’s rights organizations.
Our partners across India and East Africa continue to support survivors, strengthen livelihoods and hold space for communities that are too often overlooked. Their work is steady, patient and responds to real needs.
If you choose to give today, your support goes directly to the frontline. It helps them stay open, stay safe and focused on the people they serve.
Thank you for standing with them.

Today we pause to acknowledge the women who carry entire communities on their shoulders. The organizers. The caregivers. The defenders of rights. The ones who show up even when resources are thin and the work is heavy.
Our gratitude goes to our partners across India and East Africa who fight every day for economic justice and safety for women and gender diverse people. Your leadership shapes the world in ways that rarely make headlines but always change lives.
Thank you for trusting us to walk with you. Thank you for your persistence, your imagination, and your refusal to step back.
We are grateful for you.
