𝙄𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 is a collaborative work by Christophe Fellay and Marie-Noële Guex. Fellay’a audio composition accompanies Guex’s three videos, which play in unsynchronized loops, resulting in a continuous random interplay of sound and image.
The work is currently on view at 601Artspace as part of Christophe Fellay and Marie-Noële Guex’s exhibition “Long ago in a soft light.” We’re open Thursdays to Sundays, 1-6pm. The exhibition runs through April 2nd and was created with the support of Swiss Art Council ProHelvetia.

Currently on view at 601Artspace: Christophe Fellay and Marie-Noële Guex, “F Sharp Bright Orange, live performance at 601Artspace,” 2023. 12 in. 140 gr. 33 rpm. vinyl record, 40 min.
In the summer of 2019, Christophe Fellay and Marie-Noële Guex staged a series of immersive live performances and open rehearsals at 601Artspace. Recorded at the performances, this vinyl record is “one of the traces” that served as source material for the artworks in “Long ago in a soft light.”
You can purchase the 𝘍 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘱 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘖𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 vinyl at the gallery! 𝘜𝘯-𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘻𝘦𝘯, a vinyl recording of the artists’ sound and video installation “Frozen,” is also available.

Thank you to the artists and the visitors who made our closing event for “Show Your Work” on Sunday, Dec. 4th so thought-provoking!
