Far beyond his native Nigeria, the name Kanayo. O. Kanayo or KOK, strikes an immediate chord in many ears. For the iconic thespian, born as Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, acting is life.

He is a graduate of the University of Lagos, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, a Master’ degree in political science, Kanayo is one of the most respected personality in the Nigeria movie industry.

He has carved an enviable niche for himself since he began his acting career in 1982.
Kanayo is one of the pioneers in Nollywood, having featured in the 1992 blockbuster movie, “Living in Bo***ge” where he played the character Chief Omego.

He also featured in mega series like checkmates, Ripples, New Masquerade and Village Headmaster. KOK has acted and participated in over 300 movies, including Rituals, Blood Money, Desperate Billionaire, Across the Niger, October 1, Family Battle and Living in Bo***ge: Breaking Free.

A United Nations Ambassador and a recipient of the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), Kanayo also earned a Law degree and was called to Bar 15th September 2020.

Kanayo is a Legend in Nollywood and one of the most decorated Actors in Africa.

Most notably,Tony Moore opened and managed the Goldman Sachs (Asia) Ltd office based in Hong Kong, he was Head of Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs Japan in Tokyo and Executive Director at Goldman Sachs Ltd in London where he had responsibility for UK privatisations and relationships with a large number of Footsie 100 companies.

Following his career at Goldman Sachs he held, among other senior positions, Member of the Board of Banker's Trust Int'l and Chairman of Corporate Finance at BZW, Barclays Bank's investment banking subsidiary.

Tony has also held senior positions in industries including President & CEO of New Energy Ventures Technologies, Los Angeles, one of the early entrants into the deregulating US power industry.

Tony has served, and still very much serves, as Chairman and/or Board Director of large number of public and private companies in the USA,Europe and Asia/Pacific.

He was also Chairman, CEO and President of NYSE listed closed end fund Equus Total Return.. His experience covers capital markets financing, equity fund raising , cross-border mergers & acquisitions, project finance, real estate, precious metals, asset management (including alternative investments), wealth advisory. He has particular experience in guiding start up and emerging companies through to an exit, either trade sale or IPO. Currently based in Istanbul.

Tony is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Evrensel Capital Partners PLC (ECP) a global merchant bank, fund management and international trading company.

Tony has an extensive, global senior executive level network in government, public entities, financial institutions and corporate around the world.
