🎸This week's film: The 100th Love with You
Part of Twist of Time
🎤University student Aoi (miwa) aims to make the most of time before leaving for a year-long study abroad program in England. After a disastrous summer festival performance with the five-piece band STROBOSCORP she formed with her childhood friend Riku (Kentaro SAKAGUCHI), Aoi is hit by a truck—only to wake up the week before the accident, thanks to Riku’s power to turn back time. But his time-traveling secret comes at a huge price.
Set in Setouchi area of Japan, this original film directed by Sho TSUKIKAWA (YU YU HAKUSHO, ROMANTICS ANONYMOUS) blends bittersweet romance with time-travel fantasy.
Singer-songwriter miwa stars as Aoi and performs her original songs written for this film.

🐟This week's film: Tsukiji Wonderland
Part of The Japanese Spirit of “DŌ”
“The best seafood in the world comes to Tsukiji.”
🍣Before its closure in 2018, the Tsukiji fish market had served as the world’s largest seafood market for more than 80 years, with around 2,000 tons of fish sold daily. This documentary captures the rhythms of the market over the course of a year by portraying the vibrant atmosphere through interviews with intermediate wholesalers and renowned sushi chefs.
🦐The film meticulously researches the wholesaler profession and how Tsukiji came to be known as the best fish market in the world through the lens of Japan’s unique culinary culture.
